Joey Kim is currently an MBA candidate at Columbia Business School in NYC. Prior to business school, he was a venture capital and private equity investor, focusing on software and internet companies globally. He graduated from Georgetown University, where he competed on the men’s lacrosse team and spent several months studying abroad in Scandinavia.
Joey became involved with Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) advocacy after the passing of his beloved grandmother who battled Lewy-body dementia and Parkinson’s dementia. From his experience serving as her caregiver, he has seen the toll dementia can take on the person battling the disease firsthand. He also empathizes with other caregivers and is passionate about HFC’s work in supporting both people with dementia and their loved ones.
