Carrie Topiel is a writer living in Los Angeles, CA. She’s worked on projects for companies including Amazon, Netflix, Sony, Warner Brothers, HBO Max, Lionsgate, Hulu, and NBC Universal. In her writing, Carrie unpicks life’s more complicated knots while providing an escape for audiences. With a focus on exploring family dynamics, queerness, and mental health, she creates grounded characters dealing with relatable problems in intriguing, fun, and often fantastical worlds. She’s a proud Boston Terrier and runs the Boston University in Los Angeles internship program.
Carrie has been a part of HFC since 2015 and has loved every second of supporting HFC’s mission. She works with HFC in memory of her Grandma Rose and in honor of her amazing caregivers.
In her spare time, Carrie plays a lot of kickball and pickleball. She also enjoys participating in covert international dog rescue missions and hanging with her own little rescue pup, Lady Sybil Stonecold.
