Annie Fenn is a physician, chef, culinary instructor, and the author of The Brain Health Kitchen: Preventing Alzheimer’s Through Food (Artisan 2023). She is the only doctor/chef exclusively focused on the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Dr. Annie Fenn is a pioneering physician and chef, renowned for her groundbreaking work in the field of Alzheimer’s disease prevention. A board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist, she dedicated two decades to women’s health, establishing herself as Wyoming’s sole board-certified female OB/GYN. Her journey towards brain health began during these years, as she recognized the impact of hormones on cognitive function. Dr. Fenn was an early advocate for nutrition and lifestyle in disease prevention.
In 2010, after retiring from medicine, she pursued culinary education in Italy, Mexico, and the Culinary Institute of America. As a culinary instructor at Central Wyoming College, she empowered her community to embrace whole foods. Dr. Fenn co-founded Brain Works, an innovative dementia prevention program, and later established the Brain Health Kitchen Cooking School. She has become a sought-after speaker, lecturer, and advisor on brain health, sharing her expertise nationally and internationally while also nurturing an engaged online community through her Brain Health Kitchen newsletter.
