Alzheimer’s doesn’t only affect those diagnosed—it deeply impacts their loved ones, their caregivers, and entire communities. At HFC, we believe that no one should have to face this journey alone.

Directed and produced by award-winning filmmaker James Keach, Taking Care is a 38-minute documentary following the journey of HFC co-founders Seth and Lauren Rogen as they navigate the complexities and heartbreak of Lauren’s mother’s advancing Alzheimer’s disease.
“This film is a part of us, as deeply personal as our journey with Alzheimer’s. We want to foster a sense of hope, empathy, and understanding in our audiences. We hope viewers will be inspired to improve their brain health, support caregivers, and advocate for a future centered on dementia prevention, treatment, and support. The time to take care is now.” - Seth and Lauren Rogen

The Brain Health Revolution: Expanding HFCUniverse
This year, HFC was thrilled to announce the expansion of HFCUniverse: our revolutionary learning platform combining science and entertainment to provide critical brain health and Alzheimer’s prevention education to high school and college students.
Students and all those “young at heart” can take the courses for free and at their own pace at maintainmybrain.com.

2024 welcomed Actor Kristen Bell, Writer and Actor Quinta Brunson, Two-time Olympic Gold Medal Snowboarder Chloe Kim, and Actor Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as celebrity “faculty.”
In 2024, HFCUniverse was generously supported by Gates Ventures and Steel Partners Foundation, each providing multi-year grants to support HFC’s brain health education efforts. The expansion was also supported by New Tradition, which donated over $1.3M in advertising resulting in HFC’s first-ever out of home campaign across Los Angeles and New York City.

THE ULTIMATE GUIDE FOR DEMENTIA CAREGIVERS
This year, we launched the HFC Caregiver Road Trip, an innovative, interactive guide designed to transform how caregivers access essential guidance and support. Less stale rule book, more friendly companion. The Road Trip is fully digital, semi-gamified, and filled with practical advice, resources, and tools for every stage of the dementia caregiving journey. It’s also curated and reviewed by experts and experienced caregivers.
Wherever one is on the caregiving journey, they can hop on with us at wearehfc.org/roadtrip.
